This estimate those about 25% of chronic childhood illness are due to neurological disorders. As per western data suggest that cerebral palsy affects 2/1000 children based on hospital records in India. There would be about 2.5 million children with these disorders.
Indian Institute of Cerebral palsy & H.C. Varanasi is running by a group of eminent medical professional, psychologist, reputed physiotherapist & well known social scientist & educationist from 2005.

Registered in 2006 under Indian Society Act, also recognized by National Trust (2008) and Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment.
The main motto of I.I.C.P. & H.C. is primarily on prevention of disability, early detection and appropriate interventions, physical and economic rehabilitation measures, inclusive education, employment in the public as well as private sector and self employment, creation of a barrier-free environment and development of rehabilitation professionals.
